Workshops & seminars

The EDO aims to make information on environmental law and the planning system more accessible to the public, so that communities and individuals have the opportunity to be involved at all levels of the environmental decision-making process. To assist both professionals in the field and community members, the EDO frequently conducts a wide range of seminars and workshops.

EDO Seminar Series

The EDO seminar series provides regular seminars on a variety of environmental law and related topics with a host of special guest speakers and panelists. Held at the Green Building in Carlton these seminars are free of charge and open to all. Where possible presentations are available to download on the seminar page of this website afterwards.

EDO Workshops

The EDO provides various types of workshops. Regular workshops held mainly at the Green Building in Carlton are broad overviews of particular topics suitable for anyone with an interest. Also available are more tailored sessions that centre on specific issues suitable for community and environment group members. Current workshop topics include VCAT Planning & Environment Appeals, Biodiversity Law, and Native Vegetation Law and Policy.
